Important Information
A Puppy Adoption Contract is mandatory and signed to hold both parties accountable before reserving a puppy and accepting a deposit.
There is a $750 non-refundable deposit to reserve your puppy and the remaining balance is due at 8 weeks, which is when you pick up or transport your puppy.
All puppy purchases include up-to-date vaccinations, deworming, pure breed registry papers, microchipping, & their puppy essentials take home kit.
By 3-4 weeks, we can view the puppy's eye color, but it's possible that their eye color may change. Normally by 8-12 weeks, the puppy's eye color is permanent.

Breeding for

Beauty: Bred purposefully to create beautiful coat patterns like Merle, Tri-Color, and Tri-Merle, we intentionally breed these coats and minimize bi-color or solid print coats in our litters.
Intelligence: Some of the dogs in our breeding program are certified service animals that are trained to assist and enter specific positions during stressful and anxious moments for their handler. Obedience and intelligence is in the breed as well as the bloodline.
Athleticism: Our dogs are also super athletic and love practicing competitive dog sports, like Flying Disc. (Frisbee)
Obedience & Trainability: Whether you choose to raise your puppy as a family/companion dog or a working dog, the objective of creating an obedient and trained dog stays the same. Just like any other dog's trait, these ones pass on genetically and behaviorally.

Do you microchip the puppies?
Yes, we microchip all of our puppies and we lead you through the process of registering your personal information and details so that if your dog were to get lost, your dog could be scanned and found.
What about vaccinations and deworming?
By the time you bring your puppy home, we'll have begun their vaccination schedule and dewormed them 2-3 times. They'll require at least two more shots, spaced 3-4 weeks apart, until they reach 12-16 weeks old. All puppies will come with a vaccination and deworming schedule along with their records.
Are Miniature Australian Shepherds easy to train?
Aussies are actually known for their trainability and intelligence. Since this is such a smart breed, positive reinforcement training works best.
Are Miniature Australian Shepherds good with children?
Yes, they are generally very good with children. Aussies are known to be friendly, energetic, and playful which makes them an amazing companion for kids.
How much exercise do Miniature Australian Shepherds need?
Miniature Australian Shepherds require less exercise than Standard Australian Shepherds, but this breed still needs adequate exercise due to their working class dog ancestry. Exercise can be walking, running, playing fetch or any other active exercise.
Is this a good breed for a Service Animal or Emotional Support Animal?
Yes, this breed is perfect to be a service or emotional support animal. We even have some dogs in our breeding program that are certified service animals! Contact us and we can help you go through the process of training and certifying your dog.
Someone told me that Aussies are working dogs for herding at farms. Can my dog be a family dog without a farm job?
Absolutely! Bella Vita Farm specializes in breeding show bloodlines rather than working ones, resulting in Aussies with a calm disposition. Our selective breeding focuses on producing dogs suitable for service, therapy, and family companionship. We even have some dogs in our breeding program that are certified Service Animals.
Regular exercise and mental stimulation are essential for the well-being of your puppy, but they do not need a working task or job.
I have other dogs and pets. Do you think this will be a problem for my other animals or my new Aussie puppy?
Your Aussie will enjoy having playmates, and training can be easier with an older dog around. Introduce the puppy gradually to the entire house to prevent your other pets from feeling threatened. Supervise playtime with cats closely, as their claws can harm the puppy. Provide a dedicated space for the puppy when unsupervised.
Each puppy we sell has been exposed and socialized to various animals before going to their forever home.
